Scoop.it is a web-based article curation tool teachers can use to gather articles from various sources into a magazine-type publication which can then be shared with students. Teachers can log into the site, create new Scoop.it publications, and have their students read articles teachers have chosen. It's really nice because you are able to read the articles ahead of time and determine if they are suitable for your students and their grade level. I often use this tool in conjunction with Lexile.com so students of varying ability levels can have access to articles that are at their grade level and some that are a bit more challenging.

Teachers share the web address with their students who are then able to visit the site and read the curated articles.

This tool is a great resource for teachers who want to incorporate non-fiction pieces into their classroom curriculum.

The site offers free accounts but there are options for pay accounts that give you some extended features.
